Gouache on black paper

 To paint on black paper I first draw the image with a white pencil.  Then I paint it in with white gouache.  The trick is learning to paint color on top of the white gouache.  It takes layers of thin washes of color.  To paint in highlights more white needs to be applied and then color again.
